This afternoon I received a message from the landlord saying he had noticed I still haven’t paid my holding deposit, and that the council are inspecting the property tomorrow.
I responded that the council will be paying the holding deposit to him after the inspection.
I have never experienced going through an illegal eviction and having to find somewhere straight away. I can only describe it as anxiety overload, sitting around waiting for answers you’re never going to get without you chasing it.
You get signposted to organisations that don’t have the capacity to support you, so they signpost you to the services that you have been rejected from.
It’s mind-blowing that this situation has been left to fester, with local authorities strapped for cash and central government refusing to fund them so services can run for the needs of the people. As I continue going through these wild times, I can’t help thinking things can’t get worse than this.
